Jeff has a broad background which uniquely positions him to counsel the firm's business clients. He started his career focusing on complex business litigation as an associate with two prominent firms in Los Angeles, including Berger Kahn. After 10 years of law firm practice, he was recruited to become the General Counsel of Western Dental Services, Inc. while it was under receivorship with the Department of Managed Health Care. Jeff helped sheperd the company out of the regulatory crisis.
Jeff has spent 15 years as the in-house counsel for start-ups and large companies, such as PacifiCare Health (currently United HealthCare). During this period, while he continued to litigate, he honed his skills in government relations and adminsitrative law on a national scale. On behalf of his clients, Jeff has lobbied in Washington, D.C. and to more than 20 governors.
After attending UCLA for a year, Jeff matriculated to Yeshiva University, in New York. Other than graduating with three degrees, Jeff was also the President of Yeshiva's Student Council and a startig member of the varsity basketball team. Jeff attended Hastings College of the Law, where he received his J.D. in 1988. Jeff was a member of the national moot court team which was ranked first in California and second in the United States.
Jeff is extremely egaged Santa Ana politics and humanitarian work. He is a volunteer case manager and member of the Advisory Board of Second Chance Orange County -- a non-profit which helps low-income indivudals become productive members of society by providing individualized supportve services. Jeff is the president of the Floral Park Neighborhood Association, an historic neighborhood near the Orange County courhouse. He also is one of the founding members of We Love Santiago Park -- a group committing to returning Santa Ana's only nature reserve to the city's residents.
